When: Saturday, Sep 6th - 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM

AIDS Walk Colorado is a 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) fundraising walkathon that begins and ends in Denver's beautiful Cheesman Park. AIDS Run is a 5k running race sanctioned by the USA Track & Field Association. Over 400 runners participated in the 2nd Annual AIDS Run Colorado, making the event a resounding success.

In 1987 a small group of people gathered in Cheesman Park and stated walking on a journey to raise awareness, understanding about AIDS. The walked to raise money to help those living with HIV. We have come a long way in two decades. But we still have a ways to go. Join us on Saturday, September 6th in Cheesman Park for the 21st Annual AIDS Walk Colorado.

We have come a long way in two decades. But we still have a ways to go.

Join us on Saturday, September 6th in Cheesman Park for the 21st Annual AIDS Walk Colorado.

Today, AIDS Walk Colorado has become the largest single-day AIDS fundraiser in the Rocky Mountains, benefiting Colorado AIDS Project and 30 other AIDS service and education organizations.

Every 13 minutes, another person is diagnosed with HIV in the United States. While we have seen some amazing medical advances change the faces of this disease, we have not yet defeated AIDS.

But on Saturday, September 6, 2008, together, we can make a difference.

By joining us in AIDS Walk Colorado, you are helping to raise money that goes directly to supporting people living with HIV and AIDS, and to preventing the spread of this terrible disease.
